Our week begins on the island of Macau for the first International Table Tennis Federation World Cup of the year. Spain's Alicante and La Nucia will share the duties of the FIP Seniors World Padel Championships by National Pairs and Teams. The SBI Academy in Carlow, Ireland, brings the best English Billiards together to compete in the World Matchplay Championship.

Tuesday begins back in Macau for the 5th FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving.  Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh hosts the prestigious FEI World Cup Finals, with the best show jumpers and dressage experts on display. This week there are four IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships. The Men's Division IV spends four days in Kuwait City. It's also the season's first UIPM Pentathlon World Cup in Türkiye's Ankara. 

We begin Wednesday in Bangkok for a regional competition. The Asian Football Confederation presents the AFC Futsal Asian Cup until the end of the following week. Our next gymnastics qualifying event for the Olympic Games heads to Doha for the FIG Apparatus World Cup. The Men's U18 Division II, Group A in Poland's Sosnowiec is the next major ice hockey competition of the week. 

Kazakhstan's Almaty opens Thursday with the VIRTUS World Half Marathon & 10km Road Race Championships. Round 1 of the Motosurf World Championship spends three days in UAE's Fujairah. Belgium's Thierry Neuville is currently the overall leader as Round 4 of the FIA World Rally Championship spends the weekend in Croatia. Winter Guard International presents the Percussion World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. We then move to Oklahoma where the city of Tulsa will be the centre of attention for the World Axe and Knife Throwing Championships

On Friday the FIA Formula One World Championship heads to the 5.451-kilometre Shanghai International Circuit from Friday for Round 5 of the season. We remain in China for the World Aquatics Diving World Cup Super Final in Xi'an. Rhythmic gymnastics is the discipline in Azerbaijan's Baku at the next stage of the FIG World Cup for seniors. Our major school sports competition of the week is the ISF WSC Volleyball 2024 in Belgrade. Superbike fans will be at the TT Assen Circuit for the Dutch Round of the FIM Superbike World Championship. The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup is still in Brazil for the second week and on this occasion Araxá is the venue. 

The 2024 World Triathlon Cup spends Saturday at Australia's Wollongong. We have two World Military Sports Council events. The first is the Men's Kabaddi Challenge in Babolsar, Iran. South Africa's Mossel Bay, a popular venue for fishing, hosts the World Championship Light Tackle Boat Angling. The best curling experts move to Sweden's Östersund for the World Senior Curling Championship and the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. The third and final round of the FIM Snowcross World Championship spends the day in Norway's Kirkenes. A mind sport comes to Klaggenburg in the Netherlands when the World Draughts Federation presents the Flevoland Open World Cup. The first round of the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup opens in Paris. We then move a short distance to the southwest of the city to the famous Le Mans for the first round of the FIM Endurance World Championship. Sheffield in England is ready for the biggest event in snooker. The World Snooker Tour World Championships complete on 6 May. It is also the first round of the FIM Sidecar Motocross World Championship with Portugal's Alqueidão presented with the honour of opening the season. The last gold-label Worldloppet Ski Marathon features in Iceland's Ísafjörður, before we have a four-month break. Spring Fest 2024 is the next International Federation Sleddog Sports World Cup race in the Mancelona region, Michigan. Nashville is the next stop of the SuperMotocross World Championship. The Music City's Nissan Stadium will be hosting round 14. We are again in Dayton, Ohio, for the Winter Guard International Winds World Championships.  

Sunday begins in Thailand where the city of Nakhon Ratchasima hosts the World Abilitysport Wheelchair Fencing U17 and U23 World Championships. Abu Dhabi is the location for our second military sports competition of the week. The event includes Close Combat and a Jiu-Jitsu Conference. Türkiye's popular coastal city Antalya is where World Athletics presents the Race Walking Team Championships. We move to the capital region of Istanbul for the World Triathlon Para Cup. We have two IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship starting on Sunday. The Men's Division II, Group A feature in Belgrade, while Austria's Klagenfurt host the Women's Division I, Group A. Table hockey fans can look forward to the 2024 World Club Championship in Prague. The 6 Hours of Imola is the second stage of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Plage du Rouet near Marseille brings out the fastest windsurfers at the Speed Windsurfing World Championships. It is also the start of the FIM Supermoto GP World Championship season with Spain's Abaida the location for round 1. We close out the week in Guernsey's Saint Peter Port where bowls stage centre stage at the World Bowls Indoor Championship.
